What’s in your First Aid Kit?

What’s in your First Aid Kit?

You do have a First Aid Kit don’t you? And I’m not just talking about the box of plasters in your bathroom cabinet or kitchen drawer!

Ideally a First Aid Kit needs to be easily accessible – there’s no point in it being in the Office or House when you’re 6 fields away or up on the fell on the quad. Small kits are available that could fit on your ‘bike or tractor cab.

The First Aid Kit also needs to contain supplies appropriate to the potential injuries that may (hopefully not) occur around the farm. So, for example, in circumstances where you might get something in your eye a mirror and eye wash would be sensible. A workshop for example. Or a Chemical Store.

The HSE’s First Aid at Work page has a document download with guidance about what  a First Aid Kit should contain, amongst other things.
